Square Enix, Insomniac Games and more developing Oculus Rift games

A pre-E3 event focusing on the Oculus Rift revealed that Microsoft and Oculus had joined together in a partnership to bring the power of the Oculus to Windows 10 (and the Xbox One) and Xbox One games to the Oculus Rift.

The Oculus Rift will be able to stream Xbox One games to the PC through Windows 10, then to the Oculus Rift from there. A number of developers have been revealed by Microsoft and Oculus to be developing games fit for the headset: Insomniac Games, Playful, Ozwe 4A Games, Carbon Games, Climax, Harmonix, High Voltage Software, Ready at Dawn, Coatsink, Signal, Climax and Square Enix.

High Voltage helped create Mortal Kombat X for the PC, Ready at Dawn developed the PS4 exclusive The Order 1886, and Square Enix has done tons of games (Final Fantasy, Hitman, more). This is a pretty star studded lineup of developers for the Oculus Rift. The Ratchet and Clank developers, Insomniac Games, has revealed their game, Edge of Nowhere as one of the Oculus Rift titles.

The Edge of Nowhere (in the trailer above) is a third-person adventure game set in the Antarctic mountains and looks to be something of Cthulu-like game with a "surreal world that will test your wits and sanity."

It's interesting to see one of the Oculus Rift's highlighted titled be a third-person game, instead of first-person.
