Standalone white PS4 will be sold following Destiny’s launch… in Europe

If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times, Europe gets all the cool sh*t. The latest is the glacier white PS4.

First revealed during Sony's E3 press conference, the Glacier White PlayStation 4 console will be sold as part of a Destiny bundle that includes the white PS4, a white DualShock 4 controller, a copy of Destiny, and a 30-day voucher for PlayStation Plus.

Now we've learned that the whtie PS4 will eventually be sold separately following the launch of Destiny, in Europe only of course.

"In Europe, we're going to launch the bundle with Destiny on September 9," Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide STudios president Shuhei Yoshida said to GameOne, "but after that, later this year, we're going to release the standalone white PS4 as well in Europe."

I suppose it's possible the white PS4 could be sold standalone in the United States as well, but we've yet to hear any official word from Sony.
