Microsoft announced earlier today that Gears of War Ultimate Edition is officially done with development, the game has gone gold. The high definition remastering of Gears of War will be hitting the Xbox One on August 25th, bringing a special pass to the Gears of War 4 beta.
The reveal that the game had finished with the development phase was coupled with the announcement of Standard and Deluxe Editions of Gears of War Ultimate Edition. A pre-order for either edition will bring extra in-game content with it, but the amount of in-game extras you get depends on the price you want to pay.
-
Standard Edition ($39.99 USD)
- Pre-order bonus items: Adam Fenix and Civilian Anya multiplayer skins and Animated Emulsion Weapon Skin for use in multiplayer matches.
-
Deluxe Edition ($59.99 USD)
- In addition to Standard Edition items, the Deluxe Edition includes a Deluxe Weapon Skin Pack with 10 different Animated Weapon Skins and 36 standard Weapon Skins, as well as the Civilian Marcus Fenix and Aaron Griffin multiplayer characters.
It was not mentioned if the PC version will have pre-order incentives similar to the Xbox One's, but we can hope for more information on that when a PC release date is revealed.
