Back in May, a PlayStation newsletter suggested that Star Wars: Battlefront 2 would feature PlayStation VR support and now it appears that there will be no VR for Battlefront 2. The closest thing to Battlefront in VR we will be getting is the PlayStation VR exclusive mission titled Rogue One: X-Wing VR Mission, which released in 2016.
Criterion’s general manager Matt Webster confirmed that Battlefront 2 will not feature VR support, despite the PlayStation Newsletter's mention of it. The reveal came through an interview between Webster and Metro GameCentral.
"There is no VR."
Metro GameCentral noted that Webster was hesitant in his response, but laughed when the outlet exclaimed "Nothing at all?! But you were doing so well!" In response to this exclamation from Metro, Webster replied, "It’s taken enough effort to make that."
So there you have it. No VR in Battlefront 2, according to Matt Webster.
