EA has yet to reveal the sales figures for Star Wars Battlefront, but it doesn't look like we have to wait and see how many people decided that they wanted to own the game on the PlayStation 4, instead of PC or Xbox One.
According to P-Stats (via VG 24/7), a website that aggregate statistics on Battlefield game and now Star Wars Battlefront, the PS4 has seen 78,336 more players at its 24 hour peak than the Xbox One has seen. In fact, if we combined the PC and the Xbox One statistics, there would still be more PS4 players.
If we were to look at the stats as of 9 AM EST, the PS4 was leading by 56,000 players.
Currently online players:
- PC: 18,464 (24h peak: 48,292)
- XBOX ONE: 23,746 (24h peak: 104,993)
- PS4: 80,125 (24h peak: 183,329)
- Total: 122,335
The PS4 being popular for a DICE game isn't anything new per say, the Battlefield games tend to be more popular on the PlayStation consoles. The PC lagging so far behind is the shocker really, the PlayStation and PC have always reigned supreme with Battlefield.
