Star Wars: Battlefront on track for Holiday 2015 release

Electronic Arts has confirmed that Star Wars: Battlefront, currently in development at DICE, is on track to release sometime during the 2015 holiday season.

The announcement was made via Twitter and reiterated during EA's financial call in which the publisher also revealed Battlefield: Hardline's release date.

EA, which acquired the exclusive license to develop and publish Star Wars games for a "core gaming audience" back in May 2013, hasn't said much about the new Battlefront game.

A few details were shared back at E3 2014 in June, but the first official look at the highly anticipated shooter is planned for spring 2015. I'm thinking it'll have some sort of tie-in with Battlefield: Hardline to promote sales.
