To date, EA and DICE have detailed a number of multiplayer modes in Star Wars Battlefront, both competitive and co-op. This includes Walker Assault, Blast, Fighter Squadron, Drop Zone, Supremacy, and various co-op Missions.
With still a few months left until Battlefront's release, DICE maintains there's still more to be announced. However, some of those announcements may have been spoiled by Official PlayStation Magazine which in the latest issue revealed Battlefront will also have "a series of trials introducing you to game mechanics."
According to the magazine, these trials will exist in the form of speeder bike racing on Endor, AT-AT tow cable tripping (presumably on Hoth), and X-wing "crash courses." The publication claims these trials can be played alone with bots, in splitscreen co-op or online co-op.
Though details are sparse at the moment, news of these trials should at least comfort fans worried about the game's sparse offerings for solo players.
Earlier today, EA announced Star Wars Battlefront's beta this October will be open to everyone.
