Since 2011 the web-based Battlelog service has been a defining feature PC players for the Battlefield and Medal of Honor games. If you haven't played any Battlefield games since its implementation, it's a service that removes a majority of the in-game menu and is what you use to find a game server to play on (no matter the mode).
Essentially, in order for you to play Battlefield (3,4, or Hardline) on your PC, you would open up your browser, go to the Battlelog, find a server to play on, select it and then the game would load up.
The service has a number of features, like customization, the Battlescreen mini map, leaderboards, player created groups and challenges, loadout presets and more. While it is a defining feature for the PC version, it won't be remade to fit Star Wars Battlefront. EA and DICE, the guys behind both Battlefront and Battlefield have confirmed that Battlefront will be utilizing its own in-game menu – no matter the platform.
The same thread that made this reveal also confirmed there is no Mac version of the game planned and the developers are doing everything they can to make sure the game's launch is smooth.
Star Wars Battlefront is set to release on November 17, 2015 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
