Recently, GameZone published an article on how Star Wars: The Old Republic would take World of Warcraft's crown. One of the reasons we listed was the phenomenal and seemingly endless voice acting and now, that very voice acting, has led to the popular MMORPG receiving a Guinness world record.
EA worked to receive a record with the Guinness Book of World Records, and the company did just that. The official title of the record the game picked up is "Largest Entertainment Voice Over Project." The record will be a part of the 2012 Gamer's Edition, which has anything and everything to do with video game records.
One of the fastest selling subscription MMORPG's of all time, Star Wars: The Old Republic houses over 200,000 recorded lines from tons of different voice actors. Star Wars: The Old Republic was released on December 20 and is looking forward to being the next big game in the MMO genre. [GameFront]
