StarCraft: Remastered Now Has A Release Date, Price, and is Taking Pre-Orders

"Hell, It's about time."

Blizzard Entertainment has finally announced the release date of StarCraft: Remastered. Announced back in March with a Summer 2017 window, fans have been anxiously awaiting news on the return of the classic, and today, Blizzard Delivers.

StarCraft: Remastered graces us with its presence on August 14 on PC and Mac at a very attractive $14.99 price point. This new revival includes 4K graphics, new matchmaking systems, leaderboards, and cloud saving abilities. The classic power cord/orchestral mix of music is also remastered, as well as the sounds of the game.

For those who want a dose of nostalgia (aah, that's the stuff…), StarCraft: Remastered allows you to switch from classic graphics to the new HD graphics with a single button press.

The game consists of all the original content, plus content from the expansion, Brood War.

Those who pre-order StarCraft: Remastered before August 14 will receive three unique building skins: The Char Hive, the Korhal Command Center and the Aiur Nexus. As an added bonus, the pre-order also gives players StarCraft 2 content such as Alexei Stukov and three unique portraits.

StarCraft: Remastered will be available on August 14 on PC for $14.99 and is available for pre-order now on Battle.net.
