Valve is the king of quietly rolling out new features on Steam, it has recently kicked off a broadcasting program that's similar to the big broadcasting platforms like Twitch or even like the sharing feature on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
When I say recently kicked off, I mean they launched the beta for Steam Broadcasting today.
Great news, the Beta is open to everyone! All you have to do to be a participant is to opt in on the Steam Clien beta through the Steam Settings panel. Steam Broadcasting works like this: See a friend playing a game on Steam? Click "Watch Game" on their profile or on your Friend's List. This will open a window showing their gameplay. This broadcasting feature won't cost any special fees, won't bring on game ownership issues and won't require any additional applications.
