Steam has two free-to-play weekends that are on right now

Fresh off of their annual Steam Summer Sale, Valve's digital platform is returning to business as usual. That business being a slate of new discounts and a couple of free weekends. The latter of those two involves the previously mentioned Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor and a little indie game called Battlesloths 2025: The Great Pizza Wars.

Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor needs no introduction, but it's worth mentioning once again that the Game of the Year Edition is on sale at 80% off, a price point that ends on July 10th.

Battlesloths 2025: The Great Pizza Wars is a multiplayer-centric twin-stick shooter where four players battle it out in an arena "in a quest to… EAT. ALL. PIZZA!"

Battlesloths is only a month old, and it is on sale at 33% off for $10. This promo offer runs a bit longer and ends on July 17th.

Both games can be played in their entirety until Sunday, July 9th.
