Stephano signed by Team Evil Geniuses – rumored to make more than average middle class family for playing Starcraft

Ilyes "Stephano" Satouri , the French Zerg superstar known for his antics both on and off the screen of various StarCraft II tournaments has been signed by Team Evil Geniuses, though unofficially as of this writing. He has been living at the EG Lair in Arizona for the past two weeks, and has been confirmed to be taking part in the IGN Pro Team League Season 1 wearing the blue and white of EG.

Here's another fun fact about Stephano's new contract: it is rumored to be $8,000 a month salary – that's $96,000 a year – before any tournament winnings. Now while this is just a rumor at this point, and has not been confirmed by team management or Stephano himself, it is quite possible. EG has quite a bit of money to throw around.

One just has to hope that he isn't afllficted with the so-called "EG Curse", a monkier the community has assigned to star players that EG signs and then suddenly sees their performance dip. Either way, Stephano will need all the luck he can get when he takes on Team Liquid tomorrow in the debut of IGN's Team Pro League.
