Stunt driver dies on set of Deadpool 2

They don't get the credit they deserve.

Big budget action movies are logistical nightmares to make. They require an incredible amount of planning and various things need to be pulled off with incredible finesse. There are tons of people that come on to these projects that make these movies come together, most of these people often go unrecognized outside of the credits that no one pays attention to at the end of the movie.

One very vital group of people in Hollywood are the stunt people. They help pull off some incredible action sequences and make sure no one gets injured in the process or are at least willing to take any potential damage that might come from the stunt. Sadly, sometimes that means risking their own life.

On the set of Deadpool 2 in Vancouver, Canada, a stunt woman was killed in an accident. The driver was performing a stunt on a motorcycle and somehow lost control of the vehicle. She drove through a window off set and was tragically killed.

An Advanced Life Support ambulance arrived on scene and stayed there for 45 minutes until it drove away without turning on its lights or sirens.

"We are deeply saddened by the accident that occurred on the set of 'Deadpool 2' this morning," 20th Century Fox said in a statement. "Our hearts and prayers are with the family, friends and colleagues of our crew member during this difficult time."

No other details have been released at this time and it's unclear how this will affect the rest of production for the superhero sequel.

We here at GameZone send our condolences to the family of the stunt woman and the cast and crew of Deadpool 2. Just a reminder that a lot of hard-work and effort goes into making some of your favorite movies.

Deadpool 2 will release next summer.
