Summer Games Done Quick has kicked off, Make sure to check it out!

The yearly gaming marathon for charitable goals has kicked off yesterday on Twitch and is going to continue the whole week. This year’s Summer Games Done Quick or SDGQ marathon will again feature plenty of games professional players have mastered. Make sure to check out the event schedule. There’s definitely going to be several runs you’ll want to watch.

Games Done Quick or GDQ has become the premier charity event for and by gamers since its first show in 2010. The noble endeavor to combines the masterful and skilled playthroughs from pro-speedrunners who have made it their goal to finish a game as fast as possible and give a platform for charitable viewers around the globe to donate money for real-life charities like Prevent Cancer Foundation or Doctors Without Borders.

The whole event is being broadcast live right now on Twitch for everyone interested in watching high-level gameplay and giving money to groups helping people in need. This year’s SGDQ aims to raise as lot donation money as possible for Doctors Without Borders. What’s really nice about GDQ events is that the entirety of donations will reach the charity. So, make sure to take a look at the event, enjoy masters of their art showcasing their expertise in finishing games very fast and maybe even donate to a good cause.

It’s not only about giving though, since SDGQ is running sweepstakes among donators, with dozens upon dozens of gifts prizes ranging from unique gaming memorabilia to whole game console sets. Check out the price index in case you need one more reason to follow the SDGQ marathon.

Also, make sure to check out the event schedule where you can see at which time any game is going to appear in the live show. In case you cannot watch the whole event, this way you’ll at least be able to mark certain games which interest you especially. Don’t forget that you’ll be able to watch past speedruns comfortably via GDQ’s Youtube channel but you’ll miss out on the excitement of a live event and won’t be able to donate.
