Super Mario Galaxy stage revealed for Super Smash Bros. Wii U

Not to be forgotten about during the PlayStation 4's launch, Nintendo today revealed a brand new stage for Super Smash Bros., one of the company's most highly anticipated games for Wii U and 3DS.

Over on the official Smash Bros. website, Nintendo posted an in-game screenshot of a Super Mario Galaxy stage for Wii U.The level was firstĀ  revealed by game director Masahiro Sakurai on Miiverse, where he explained that gravity will pull players towards the centre of the planet.

"The pull of gravity emanates from the center of the planet, so this will require using brand-new tactics," he wrote.

No images of the stage for 3DS were revealed, so its possible this could be a Wii U exclusive stage. Sakurai explained to Polygon that due to stages being unique to each platform, Super Smash Bros. will not support cross-play between teh Wii U and 3DS.
