There's a number of changes coming to Forza Motorsport 5, including new race modes and alterations. On MajorNelson, Brian Ekberg from Turn 10 Studios detailed what's changing in the newest content update.
Two modes are coming to the game: drag racing and multiplayer Tag. Drag racing will pit cars against each other in quarter-mile, half-mile and full-mile sprints. There are full 16-player drag racing lobbies, one-on-one heats and eight-player drag races where all eight players are on the track at the same time.
Tag is a multiplayer-only mode that's described as "pure mayhem on the track, where huge wrecks are the norm and aggressive driving is its own reward." There are three variations of Tag mode that will be available:
The first major post-launch content update also changes up the Forza Motorsport 5 economy. Based on player feedback, Turn 10 is dramatically increasing the rate at which credits are earned in the game. Car prices are also dropping. For instance, the Lotus E21 grand prix car — which is one of the fastest cars in the game and most desired by players — has dropped from six million credits to two million credits.
