Valiant Hearts: The Great War, a puzzle-adventure game set during World War I, will release on June 25, 2014, Ubisoft announced today. It'll be available for $14.99 on Xbox One, PS4, Xbxo 360, PS3, and PC.
Revealed back in September of last year, Valiant Hearts: The Great War attempts to share the experience of World War I with a younger generation who may not be as familiar with the deadly conflict. also known as the "Great War." Gameplay consists of puzzles that increasingly become more complicated as the game progresses.
To go along with today's announcement, Ubisoft also released a new trailer which introduces you to unexpected heroes in a world torn apart. There's Emile, a French farmer who becomes a prisoner of war when looking for his son-in-law. Freddie, an American soldier fighting in honor of his fallen wife. Ana, a field medic — a "rose in the trenches — surrounded by blood and gore. George, a British aviator who lied about knowing how to fly. The last is Karl, a German soldier lost in the trenches alone and sick with his love for Emile's daughter Marie. These five characters are accompanied through the horrors of war by a canine separated from its owner during an artillery attack. The dog not only helps the characters survive, but also guides players through action sequences and puzzles.
