Team Meat’s next project is ‘a game about cats … kinda’

Super Meat Boy developer Team Meat has announced that it is currently working on a new project titled Mew-Genics. Not much was revealed about the upcoming title, but we do know that the game will feature randomly generated gameplay elements. Also, there'll be cats, which is awesome.

According to Edmund McMillen, who most recently worked on The Binding of Isaac and The Basement Collection, Mew-Genics is pretty strange. As a matter of fact, McMillen says it's the weirdest game he's ever worked on, which is absolutely insane.

"Mew-Genics is by far the strangest project I've ever worked on … and that's saying something. Tommy and I are very happy with how development has been going on it and decided that Mew-Genics will be the next official Team Meat game. We don't want to spoil too much here, but we can say the game will be randomly generated, strange and involve cats."

Well, consider me (and countless other Team Meat fans) officially stoked. Mew-Genics, we'll be waiting for ya!
