Last week, Telltale Games released a trailer for the premiere episode of their new series, Game of Thrones. While it was just a mere teaser, offering a brief overview of the plot — which sees you in control of several members of House Forrester — it gave us hope that the first episode, Iron From Ice, would debut perhaps sometime this week. Looks like "soon" meant more along the lines of a December release.
Although Telltale hasn't followed up the initial teaser trailer with anything yet, a Steam product page for Game of Thrones went live over the weekend, revealing the price and a vague December 2014 release window.
If the price is correct (and we have no reason to believe that it isn't), then the entire first season of Game of Thrones will cost $29.99, or $26.99 (a 10% discount) if you pre-order. It's about $5 more expensive than what Telltale traditionally charges, but that's to be expected given that Game of Thrones' first season will consist of six episodes instead of the traditional five. The prices for the console or iOS versions haven't been announced yet.
