Temple Run 2 already downloaded over 20 million times

In just four days of availability, Imangi Studios' Temple Run 2, the sequel to the mega-hit original endless runner Temple Run, has already been downloaded over 20 million times.

In just eight hours after its release, the game was the number one Free App. It's currently the third Top Grossing App, despite being free to download. It still has a ways to go to catch the original, which was downloaded over 170 million times across the App Store, Google Play, and the Amazon Marketplace. We're still awaiting the release of Temple Run 2 for the latter two platforms.

“The response from fans has been overwhelming,” says Keith Shepherd, co-founder of Imangi. “We are thrilled players want more of the Temple Run universe, and we hope to grow and expand the game over the coming months.”

Temple Run 2 offers the same fast-paced gameplay, but throws in new obstacles, player powers, and environments, all in glorious high-res graphics.

Temple Run 2 is available for free from the App Store on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch or at www.itunes.com/appstore. Check out our review for Temple Run 2 and other great mobile games recently released.
