Tetris Effect, psychedelic Puzzler by Rez creator arrives November for PS4

Tetsuya Mizuguchi, mastermind behind genre-defining rhythm games like Rez and Lumines, has been working on blending his expertise in the music-based genre of games with the timeless puzzle perfection of Tetris. Tetris Effect is the result of this experiment and soon players on the Playstation 4 will be able to experience a whole new way of playing the classic block game.

While the seasoned game creator has long been working on Tetris Effect, it was only a couple months ago, this June, when the game was first unveiled. The trippy visuals with ample colorful particle effects combined with mind-changing music goes incredibly well together with the minimalistic yet highly addictive puzzle gameplay of Tetris.

Fans of the evergreen puzzler and Mizuguchi’s unique artistic vision won’t have much long to wait, to immerse and lose themselves into the enthralling yet soothing loop of seemingly unending gaming transcendence. Developer Enhance’s official Twitter account disclosed the release date for Tetris Effect today as November 9th. Seeing how games like Tetris Effect are meant to be replayed over and over, the required two months of waiting shouldn’t be that hard.
