The Xbox One version of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 video game, which was mysteriously delayed, could now release on July 1, 2014, if an updated product page on GameStop is correct.
The delay became known last week when it was noticed that the platform was removed from the game's actual website. Though pre-orders for the Xbox One version remained available at retailers like Amazon and GameStop, Activision raised question about whether or not the game would actually release at all for Xbox One.
“We want to inform you that we are revising our release plans for ASM2 on Xbox One,” the publisher said at the time.. “When and whether [Amazing Spider-Man 2] is released on Xbox One is TBD.”
The Xbox One version still isn't listed on the website, but GameStop has updated the game's release date to July 1, 2014. Amazon has also updated their listing to July 1.
Of course, until we actually hear official word from Activision, all of this should be treated as rumor. The only release date we know for certain is the one for PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, 3DS, and PC, which is April 29.
