The Avengers Project gains 15 industry veterans from Naughty Dog, EA, More

How's the game doing though...?

Marvel revealed their intentions to team up with Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics to create an Avengers game one year ago. Since then, not much has been revealed. Crystal Dynamics has spoken up to reveal that the team of developers working on the game has expanded by 15.

Towards the beginning of January, Naughty Dog’s Shaun Escayg, the Creative Director and writer of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, left Naughty Dog for Crystal Dynamics to work on The Avengers project.

Now, Crystal Dynamics has announced that a total of 15 industry veterans have joined the studio to work on The Avengers project. The studio also detailed that Stephen Barry, the former the Director of Product Development at Visceral Games, has joined the company, in addition to Escayg.

While the remaining new members of Crystal Dynamics remain unnamed, they were detailed to have contributed to Batman: Arkham Origins and Star Wars Battlefront.

“We recently hired fifteen world-renowned industry veterans, spanning production leadership, animation, design, art and engineering, who have previously worked on games such as Batman: Arkham Origins, Dead Space, Star Wars: Battlefront and many more.” said Ron Rosenberg, Co-Head of Studio at Crystal Dynamics. “Their AAA experience adds to an already deep roster, making us well-positioned to deliver on the ambitious goals we’ve set for ourselves with The Avengers project. It’s a stellar addition of many people who fit incredibly well into our wheelhouse of building game experiences we all love.”
