Last night at The Game Awards, Telltale revealed their heavily rumored Guardians of the Galaxy game with a brief teaser trailer showing a mixtape and headphones floating in space. Although it doesn't show much, fans are ecstatic to know the game is coming after Telltale revealed that they would be doing a Marvel game several years ago.
To make Marvel fans even more excited, Marvel will be debuting the first real trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2! Yes, there was a teaser trailer back in October that was also shown ahead of Doctor Strange but this new one will most likely give us a better sense of the plot this time around. That last trailer only gave us a VERY brief look at some snippets of footage.
The trailer is scheduled to premiere during one of the commercial breaks for the Dr. Pepper ACC Championship football game which will air on ABC at 8 PM ET. It will probably be put somewhere in the middle of the game so they can get as many people to watch the game as possible, but if you don't feel like watching the game you can DVR it and turn it on when Twitter starts exploding. It is also likely that the trailer will be uploaded to YouTube shortly after it premieres on TV.
Check back to GameZone tomorrow night for the trailer when it is uploaded online!
On top of all of this, Marvel vs. Capcom 4 is expected to be revealed this weekend (either Saturday or Sunday) at PlayStation Experience/Capcom Cup. The game is rumored to have characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe like the Guardians of the Galaxy! We will keep you updated on any developments from that story.
