Call of Duty: WWII is one of the most highly anticipated games of 2017. Not only is it just a new entry in the best selling FPS franchise but it's a return to the series' roots. The shooter will be ditching the modern and futuristic setting to go back to where the series began, World War II.
Players have been eagerly awaiting the beta so they can get their hands on the game and now it's finally here. It was originally scheduled to go live tomorrow but if you pre-ordered a digital copy off of the PlayStation 4 store, you can download the beta right now. It's a 16 GB download so it might take a bit but it's better than waiting until tomorrow, especially if you have work or school!
For those who pre-ordered at any other retailer, you'll have to wait until Activision e-mails you your code. It has been confirmed that they'll be sent out before the original start time but no one knows how soon they'll begin sending them. If you're really craving the beta, you could pre-order off the PSN store and then cancel the pre-order after the beta ends and get your money back. We're not sure if PlayStation will hold up their pre-order policy but if you're buying the game anyways, it shouldn't hurt you too much.
The Call of Duty: WWII beta will run through this weekend and a second beta will open up next weekend for all platforms. We'll see you on the battlefield.
Call of Duty: WWII releases on November 3rd, 2017.
