The Division ‘Falcon Incursion’ exploit hotfix brings new glitch

Oh man, this game is glitch heaven.

This glitch is best performed during a wave of grenadiers present or when there are around 10 (or more) enemies present in the scenario.

Here's the new glitch, courtesy of el2mador:

  • Form your team (no need for electronics build now), and get to the boss fight area; don't jump down, don't get seen by mobs

  • Have one teammate go out and go to the nearest safehouse

  • Use mobile cover to glitch through texture and get the "You are out of the map" notification. Before you get teleported, fast travel to a teammate

  • You should now fall thru the map and land on top of the APC (or close to it). It would look like you are floating

  • Use sticky bombs to damage the mobs and get their attention.

  • Turret cannot damage you since there's an invisible wall between you and the rest of the room

  • Enemies should now throw grenades at you, but will instead hit and damage the APC

note: it still takes damage from grenades, just from enemies = friendlyfire

  • Go watch a movie

  • Get your loot

When Ubisoft brought the new Incursion Mission 'Falcon Lost' to The Division in the April Update, they also brought a number of glitches to the game. The developers are actively "looking into what can be done in terms of punishment" for those that make use of glitches.

In the mean time, two patches have been released to fix the Falcon Lost exploit. Unfortunately, the first one did not keep the mission from being exploited and neither has this one. A new glitch has been discovered shortly after Ubisoft patched out the exploit.

According to the patch notes (as seen below), anyone who enters the spawn closet to do the initial exploit will be killed.

Falcon Lost

  • The APC will now only take damage from C4
  • Characters will now be killed when going inside the spawn closet

Gameplay

  • Weapon mods added automatically to a newly crafted weapon can now be deconstructed properly

UI

  • Fixed an issue where items from the Reward Claim Vendor would be granted abnormally
  • PC: Fixed an issue where using ASCII code in in-game chat could lead to client crash

The new glitch (as seen on the following page) is specifically for console users that cannot make use of the infinite states glitch and still makes use of the mobile cover glitch.
