The final Star Wars: Battlefront expansion will be based on Rogue One

This weekend has been filled with lots of Star Wars news, mostly Rogue One news. So far we have gotten the reveal of Darth Vader in the film, a cast member spoiled the film on accident, and we got new footage and a poster.

To add to this plethora of news, EA just revealed their fourth and final expansion for Star Wars: Battlefront. The final expansion for the game will be titled Rogue One: Scarif and will let players play as Jyn Erso (the main character of the film) and Director Krennic who is the main bad guy of the film. Scarif is the name of the planet that has been featured heavily in promo for the upcoming film which appears to be a beach planet below the massive Death Star.

Very few other details were given about the expansion but we can expect to hear more before it releases sometime this holiday season.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will release in theaters December 16th, 2016.
