We're still a few weeks away from the March 11th release of Dark Souls 2, but we've already gotten the first review score for the highly anticipated, brutally challenging action RPG. The first review comes from the latest issue of German gaming magazine M!. Although the issue releases tomorrow, the M! site has posted a teaser, revealing a score of 90% (or 9/10).
The short blurb on the magazine's website doesn't reveal too many spoilers about the review, but does call Dark Souls 2 "the hardest action role-playing game in the world." The reviewer is also said to have sunk in "a good 60 hours" worth of gameplay, adding it's "more convenient, gorgeous, and extensive."
By comparison, M! gave Demon's Souls an 82% and Dark Souls an 88%.
Dark Souls 2 will be available for Xbox 360 and PS3 on March 11. It's also coming to PC, but we don't know when.
