I just watched the trailer for The Iceman, a film about the true story of Richard Kuklinski — a notorious mafia contract killer and family man. It's being shown off at the Venice Film Festival and is full of big-name actors. It stars Michael Shannon, Chris Evans, James Franco, Ray Liotta, Stephen Dorff, David Schwimmer and Winona Ryder.
After watching the trailer and coming away very impressed, I can tell there's going to be a lot of killing. And I'm pretty sure that James Franco is begging for his life. Don't think he's gonna make it. Michael Shannon definitely is impressive as he switches between what looks like the best father/husband and a ruthless killer. I don't know a lot about the full story behind Richard Kuklinksi, and I don't want to. I'd rather see the movie and not know what happens to the characters, as this movie looks to be an intense thrill ride with enough killing to quench every crime fiction fan's thirst.
