Final Fantasy XV has had quite the build up to release, and it's not all been good. The game has been widely thought dead for some years when it was Versus XIII, and after being revived as Final Fantasy XV at E3 2013, and has seen quite an extended amount of development time to get to this point (likely because the project was collecting dust).
Final Fantasy: Uncovered brought a lot of information, including the (now delayed) September release date as well as the reveal of the Hollywood-led CG film Kingsglaive and the free-to-watch YouTube series, Brotherhood. Brotherhood has released in five parts over the course of the last few months, and with Episode 5 now available, every pre-release piece of Final Fantasy XV media (outside of the actual game itself) is now officially out.
Square Enix has a lot riding on the success of Final Fantasy XV, and we will see if after all of this time, whether or not the series can regain its touch. Final Fantasy XV releases on November 29th, 2016 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
