You've seen all the trailers; you've read all the previews; now it's finally your time to experience The Last of Us. For those of you who purchased God of War: Ascension, you'll have noticed it came with a locked demo for Naughty Dog's upcoming game, The Last of Us. Sony has just announced that the demo has been unlocked, meaning you can finally experience what Naughty Dog has been teasing us with for months.
The demo features the Outskirts level, which I believe is what I played during Sony's PlayStation event back in February. In this preview — which is near the beginning of the game — Joel and Ellie, along with Tess, are traveling where between the outside of the military quarantine zone and the outskirts of Boston. The great thing about this preview is that it should give you a decent idea as to what you'll encounter — multiple types of infected enemies, exploration, and scavenging for supplies — when the actual game releases on June 14th.
While waiting for the download to complete, feel free to check out my preview of this demo from way back in February. If you're looking for a more recent preview of The Last of Us, Sony provided us with a newer build that showed off two more levels of the game. You can read about that experience here.
