Vin Diesel, Michael Caine, Rose Leslie (Ygritte in Game of Thrones), Elijah Wood (Frodo) have teamed up with Lionsgate Entertainment to fight witches in modern day New York City. In The Last Witch Hunter, Vin Diesel will be taking the role of an immortal witch hunter who teams up with Rose Leslie, a powerful witch, to stop New York City from being consumed by a deadly plague set in motion by evil witches.
The Last Witch Hunter may sound ridiculous, but you know that the action is going to be so amazing (and ridiculous) that you fall in love with it. Think modern day Chronicles of Riddick or Pitch Black with witches instead of aliens.
The film is being directed by Breck Eisner, the man behind The Crazies and is set to release on October 23, 2015. If the film is successful it could very well become a franchise.
