The latest Final Fantasy XV patch has apparently made the game’s hour-long Adamantoise battle a breeze

It might not stick around long-term, but a mildly hilarious potential oversight has rendered Final Fantasy XV's toughest battle a piece of cake. A new video has popped up on the Nova Crystallis YouTube account showing off the player taking down the massive Adamantoise, a fight which has been known to take many a player in excess of an hour to beat, in mere seconds using only the newly-buffed Ring of the Lucii.

As part of the game's most recent update to fix the many (MANY) issues with Chapter 13, the Arcana spells that you wield as your only means of attack were significantly enhanced. Those effects appear to be so enhanced that the Adamantoise is now mere child's play compared to what it once was.

To be fair, it's hard to tell if this was an intentional side effect of the boosting of the ring, meant to give player's the choice to battle the Adamantoise the old way or not. Or if the development team was simply too focused on fixing the imbalances of Chapter 13, that they didn't have enough time to consider what may come of the changes. It does seem odd to go from one extreme of time to the other, but who knows.
