The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past came out 20 years ago today

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past ranks as one of the best-selling games for the Super Nintendo, and today the game celebrates the 20th anniversary of its release in North America.

Nintendo's classic came to our shores on April 3, 1992, although it debuted in Japan almost one year prior. Since then it's been re-released on the Game Boy Advance and Wii's Virtual Console.

Famed creator Shigeru Miyamoto recently expressed interest in a 3DS reproduction of the game.

"I think I'd be even more interested in creating something new maybe based on, or starting from, A Link To The Past," he said. "I think it's important to bring some really new software."

How do you remember A Link to the Past?
