The PS4’s User Interface presentation was live at Gamescom

Sony opened its Gamescom press conference with a fairly lengthy look at the PlayStation 4's user interface. On stage, Shuhei Yoshida sat in a comfy chair as we watched him navigate the sleek menus of the PS4 and eventually join a Killzone: Shadow Fall session already in progress — seven seconds is all it took for him to successfully join the match. But there was some skepticism as to whether what was shown was pre-recorded.

Turns out, everything that was shown was live. In the latest PlayStation Access video, it was discussed that the Killzone: Shadow Fall creative director himself confirmed the live presentation. Check out the video below, specifically the 7:08 mark, for talk of the PS4's user interface and a fun story of how the pre-rehearsal which involved Yoshida being shot in the head.
