The Purge 3 is not a pre-quel about the first Purge night

That rumor about The Purge 3 being a prequel about the first Purge night? Yea, that rumor is false.

Andrew Form and Brad Fuller, both producers on the Purge franchise and heads at Platinum Dunes, said that those rumors are false, but they wouldn't give any other details on The Purge 3.

Speaking to Collider, Fuller said, "I read that too about the first night of The Purge. We don't know anything about that. I read that and I haven't heard that so I'm not sure what that was. The material that we're considering right now is not the first night of The Purge."

Also, when asked about The Purge: Anarchy star Frank Grillo's return for Purge 3, Fuller said, "Listen, we loved working with him and we thought that he was so good in that role and, you know, if it works to have him back we would really be very excited."
