The horror genre isn’t a big one on the Nintendo Switch. Yet.
We may, however, see that changing in the near future. Layers of Fear: Legacy was announced for the console, coming in Q1, and the first two Outlast titles are also getting ported. But to top it off, the Nintendo Switch will possibly be getting more psychological shocks with titles like The Room and the two Amnesia games.
Both developers have been noted considering the porting of their titles to the Switch. Both have individually answered questions on the subject via Twitter. Amnesia developer Frictional Games says that they “can’t make any solid promises right now,” but does say it will keep them updated, which is very far from a no.
We have had some queries about this, and we are interested in doing a Switch port! Can’t make any solid promises right now, but we’ll be sure to keep everyone on Twitter updated with further developments.

The Room‘s developer Fireproof Games had a less solid answer, stating that a port is something they’re considering.
It’s definitely something we’re considering!

While neither has a solid confirmation, it seems like Frictional Games may have something in the works, while Fireproof Games is in more of the decision-making stages. Would the horror genre fit well on Nintendo’s portable home console?
Layer of Fear: Legacy is set for release sometime in 2018. The other two titles have no release date as of yet.
