Now's the time to pre-order one of the three Wii U games worth owning! If you head over to Amazon or Walmart's website, you'll find that pre-orders for The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD are available for $49.99, which is $10 off the normal price.
The Wind Waker HD is scheduled to release on the Wii U this October, and is one of the more highly anticipated games coming to a Nintendo console that is desperate for games worth owning. Shigeru Miyamoto of Nintendo said that they decided to updated Wind Waker because the Wii U breathed new life into the game's graphics, which is 11-years-old.
He said, "When we brought the cartoon shading of the original Wind Waker over and were testing it on Wii U to take a look at it, we really felt that, visually, it brought the game to life in ways that just weren't there on the GameCube. Particularly with the way that you see the air and the wind in the game as you play with that. It really breathed new life into the project and we wanted to show that to the viewers."
Don't get me wrong, I'm excited for The Wind Waker HD because I never played the original on the GameCube, but they're expecting an HD version of an 11-year-old game that most Zelda fans have already played to be a huge hit. I'm sure it'll sell better than most other Wii U games, but don't expect The Wind Waker HD to sell consoles.
