CD Projekt RED's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt isn't even out yet, but early pre-order numbers already indicate the game is going to be huge.
The highly-anticipated open-world RPG, due out on May 19th, has already surpassed 1 million pre-orders, essentially guaranteeing a strong start to its sales.
“We’ve crossed the 1 million pre-order milestone and it’s all thanks to you guys! We would like to thank all the gamers for their trust and support,” said CD Projekt RED co-founder Marcin IwiÅ„ski.
“This is the last stretch and we’re pushing hard — over the last two weeks, we’ve increased performance on all platforms and started working full speed on the expansions, Hearts of Stone & Blood and Wine."
In addition to Wild Hunt's large, open-world environment, filled with hundreds of hours worth of quests, CD Projekt RED has already promised 16 entirely free pieces of DLC for everyone who owns a copy of the game. The DLCs will be released in pairs on a weekly basis, starting from May 20th, a day after Wild Hunt's release. For those who want 30 additional hours of gameplay, there's also an Expansion Pass available for two "massive" expansions.
