EA has just released the “Create a Pet” portion of The Sims 3: Pets. Now you can create any dog, can, or horse you can imagine!
Create perfect—or imperfect—pets for your Sims, from fierce guard dogs to destructive kittens to trusty horses as you determine their looks and personality traits! Choose from over 100 breeds then edit them as you want to create a unique pet. Upgrade to the full game to play as your pet!
Using robust tools, players start by choosing from one of more than 100 breeds of cats and dogs or a horse of their liking. From there, the opportunities are endless. Players can change the length and width of the snout and ears, texture of the fur, or even the color of the eyes. Using the new layer system, players can recreate their childhood pet by adding different layers of markings along the body or create a hybrid of their dreams. Once the player has created their ultimate pet, they’ll be able to assign them personality traits, such as lazy, clueless, friendly and hyper. Players will be able to save their unique pets from the demo and load them into their copy of The Sims 3 Pets Expansion Pack for the PC.
Once you created your pet you can share your creation online and via the official The Sims 3 Pets Facebook page.
The demo includes:
- The ability to determine your pets’ personalities. Will it be adventurous, intelligent, skittish, brave, agile, or something else?
- The option to customize every detail of your pets appearance from eye color to coat markings.
- A wide variety of pet choices from unique dogs, cats, and even horses
- The ability to share your pets online via Facebook

This is version 4 of the Minecraft 1.9 Pre-release update. It does not contain dragons as of yet.
No confirmation of what it contains has been announced, but we assume it contains updates to item enchantments and potion brewing. It might also contain moon phases.
