Although Theatrhythm Final Fantasy just launched today in North America, the game has been out for quite some time in Japan – so you know there's a ton of DLC build up just waiting to be unleashed.
Coinciding with its launch today is the release of the first batch of add-on tracks. Although Theatrhythm Final Fantasy already includes over 70 musical scores spanning the 25 years of Final Fantasy history, there's been a lot of tracks. So today, Square Enix has released the first 8 DLC tracks, making Theatrhythm Final Fantasy the first title in North America for the Nintendo 3DS to offer add-on content.
Is that a good thing or a bad thing? More songs I guess, but it won't stop here. Nintendo has already confirmed DLC for New Super Mario Bros. 2 in the form of additional levels for its new Gold Rush mode. Yes sir, I've seen the future and it's filled with DLC.
