Featuring an unprecedented roster of characters from both Marvel and Capcom’s long history of successful franchises, it looks like the mighty Norse God Thor and Amaterasu from Okami, will be making their first appearance in the series.
The screenshot, bearing a Marvel.com watermark, isn’t currently up on their official page, a forum member claims to have acquired them via a leak. Whether or not they’re fakes has yet to be determined, but if they are, then they’re awfully good ones. Although given that a new entry in the Okami series will be released for the Nintendo DS in 2011, along with Marvel’s Thor movie, it wouldn’t be surprising to see them try to cash in on the aforementioned franchises.
Given Okami’s ‘paintbrush’ moveset from the PlayStation 2 game, along with his distinct height advantage, it will be interesting to see how he plays out if he is indeed in the game.
