THQ Announces Batista for WWE ’12

THQ has officially announced that Batista will be joining the roster of WWE Superstars and Divas in the upcoming WWE '12. Though the Animal has been out of the WWE spotlight for about a year now, he will be making his return to the video game franchise as part of DLC following the game's release. This should spell nothing but good news for fans of Batista.

His inclusion isn't all that strange when you really think about it. After all, Batista is a fan favorite, and if Brock Lesnar can be in the game, I'm certain big Dave can, too. Admittedly, it's a bit of a shame that fans are going to have to wait for Batista to arrive via DLC, but hey, at least they'll be able to play as him.

I was a pretty big Batista fan when he left Evolution back in the good ol' days of rasslin'. I wasn't too into him when all he did was demand title shots and bitch all day a few years later. But then, prior to him leaving, he really turned things up and became a villainous character that was so hilarious he was hard to hate.
