THQ and Mattel Align For Future Barbie and He-Man Adventures

The wait is over: THQ has announced a partnership with toy-maker Mattel that will allow the publisher to create games based on Barbie, Polly Pocket, Hot Wheels, Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots, and Masters of the Universe.

As Barbie and Hot Wheels games have traditionally been utter garbage, I can’t imagine this new deal will be ushering in a new era of amazing titles. In fact, I will bet a total stranger’s life on the fact that these will all be native to the Wii and DS, though THQ has confirmed that it’s eyeballing every platform known to man.

What I suppose I should say is that no matter where they end up, they’ll all be of Wii quality. Speaking of which, THQ will also be bringing Mattel’s brands to the uDraw Game Tablet. The first title, Pictionary, was already released. Who’s excited?!
