Tickets for Dota 2’s The International 5 sell out in minutes

Tickets for the Dota 2 Championships in Seattle, Washington, The International 5, went on sale this morning at around 10 AM PDT. By 10:06 AM the first wave of tickets were entirely sold out. The tickets are being sold through Ticketmaster, a site that inherently slows down the ticket purchasing process…meaning that tickets could have sold out before 10:06 AM PDT.

A second wave of tickets will be on sale at 10PM PDT (1AM EST), for $99 a ticket (General Admission). Everyone is limited to five tickets per purchase and the event lasts for a week (starting on August 3rd).

The event sold out so fast that there is absolutely no denying that Dota 2 is extremely popular. Heck, everyone else is going to the event…you might as well go too! So, if you find this post before the tickets go on sale — you can find a link to the official Ticketmaster page here.
