With Titanfall 2's recent release on EA Access and EA Origin in the rearview mirror, there is more potential than ever for Respawn to keep and grow its player base. One of the ways it aims to do this is through free DLC, and Postcards From The Frontier is the game's latest batch. As seen in the trailer above, the DLC pack brings a new arena map called Uma which is designed especially for the game's Pilot-only Live Fire mode.
The map is balanced in a way that emphasizes both close quarters and long-distance marksman combat while providing ample opportunity to stay mobile. TheĀ Angel City, Exoplanet, and Drydock maps have also been reworked to function with the Frontier Defense co-op mode, which came out last month and are also part of the free DLC.
The new execution this time around is called Hole in the Wall and can only be unlocked after killing five players with the Amped Wall ability active.
There are also eight new Warpaints that can be purchased with real world money and a timed bundle that lets you get all of them at a discount. Each Warpaint costs $5 but comes with in-game bonuses. The timed package enables you to get all eight for $25 but is only available until September 26th.
Respawn recently commented on the hardships the game faced at launch, namely coming up short in the sales department, attributing it to a crowded launch window. Titanfall 2 is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
