Titanfall beta begins Friday; three modes included

It's official — Titanfall's beta for Xbox One and PC will begin on Friday, February 14. EA and Respawn Entertainment opened up registration for the highly anticipated beta last night; you can sign up at the game's official site.

The beta will include three game modes — Attrition, Hardpoint Domination and Last Titan Standing. In Attrition, teams win by eliminating anyone or anything (pilots, titans, AI soldiers) on the opposing side. Hardpoint Domination is a capture-point objective mode in which your team earns points by capturing up to three hardpoints spread across the map. The third mode, Last Titan Standing, is a round-based mode that starts everyone on both teams with a titan; there's no respawning or replacement titans and the round ends when one team loses all of their titans.

Xbox One or PC players interested in partaking in the beta have until 4:00pm PST on February 14th to sign up. However, only a limited number of users will actually be selected. If you are one of the lucky ones accepted, you'll be emailed directly by EA with instructions on how to access the game no later than 11:59pm PST on February 17th.

Titanfall on Xbox One and PC is due out on March 11 in North America. The Xbox 360 version, of which there are no current plans for a beta, has been delayed until March 25.
