Titanfall beta suffering from registration issues

In case you couldn't tell by the mass hysteria going on right now, registration for Titanfall's beta opened tonight for the Xbox One and PC versions of the game; however, it appears to have hit a bit of a snag.

Although the Xbox One registration was a smooth process for me, I noticed some issues attempting to register for the PC version through Origin. When attempting to login to the required service, I've been greeted with connection errors.

Respawn Entertainment confirmed the issues on the game's official Twitter account, blaming the problem on "overwhelming demand." They suggest remaining patient and trying again. I've tried numerous times so far with no luck.

It's certainly not the start EA hoped for with Origin, but the good news is that registration is open until until 4:00pm PST on February 14th to register, so hopefully the demand subsides over the next few days. Unfortunately, the overwhelming demand also means quite a few people will be disappointed as Respawn Entertainmen confirmed only a limited number of users will actually be selected.

Have you been having problems registering for Titanfall's beta?
