The Xbox 360 version of Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall will only be available in hard copy, EA has confirmed, and will not be made available through the system’s digital service, Games on Demand.
“After extensive testing, we felt that it simply did not represent the true Titanfall experience,” EA said on their support site, “and it was decided not to release a Games on Demand version.” The publisher assures players that “this decision was all about quality and making sure you get the best Titanfall experience.”
It comes as no surprise that the 360 port of the game will stay confined to discs given how far the game’s boundaries have likely already been pushed. The previous-gen version of the game is surprisingly comparable, in terms of graphics particularly, to its Xbox One counterpart, and its quality would undoubtedly suffer if it were made to fit the mold of digital download.
